How Do We Love Thee???

Let us count the ways!

Plain and simple - We LOVE Continental Airlines! We live in Houston so we are at the very hub of Continental activity. Flights are simple from here to anywhere we want to go. But that's not why we love Continental.

We love Continental Airlines because we fly as a family and we are treated as a family. My partner is a Million Mile traveler and he frequently gets upgraded to First. As a result, our 4 year old gets bumped to First quite often. And as the ultimate result, I get a few hours of PEACE and QUIET in Coach. No problem for me because I get pity cocktails from the front of the plane.

Flight attendants frequently steal our daughter and parade her thru the cabin or assist with toilet duties - you know how all girls go to the potty together! I love looking up the long aisle from Coach only to see my daughter holding court at the front of the plane. Cookies, milk, movies and every type of pampering allowed by law. She also loves Continental!

When we check in or check luggage we aren't questioned about who is with whom or why there are 2 men traveling with a little girl. We aren't subjected to the odd glances of those that might not approve of our family. If anything, we are welcomed and celebrated on Continental more often than any other airline that we've flown.

We hate to see the Continental era come to an end. We are dreading the inevitable end of our favorite airline. But we hope and pray that the transition is smooth and painless and that the same wonderful people that have welcomed us in the P Club and served us on the planes will continue to do so for a very long time. Oh, and we hope that that Dave Hilfman guy gets to stay in Houston! :-)
